At Pacific College we are not only interested in those who are new to nursing, we also want to see those that have been committed to the field continue to grow. That is why we are now offering a CNA scholarship program.

Pacific College has established scholarships that are to be awarded to qualified Certified Nursing Assistants. These scholarships range $500 - $3,000.

Qualifications for this scholarship are the following:

· You must be a graduate of an accredited Certified Nursing Assistant program

· You must be a citizen of the United States/ Legal resident

· You must enroll in an Allied Health program offered at Pacific College in Costa Mesa, California i.e. Vocational Nursing, Cardiovascular Technology or Physical Medicine Assisting

· You must be at least 18 years of age

· You must be a high school graduate or GED holder from an accredited school

· You must provide at least 1 year of documented work experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant

· You must write a 1-2 page essay explaining your desire to continue your education in the healthcare field. This essay will be written on site and proctored at Pacific College in Costa Mesa, CA.

· You must meet all admissions requirements for entry into Pacific College’s Allied Health programs

· Scholarships are available for students entering classes starting June 2008  through December 2008

Award Deadlines and Dates:

Scholarships are awarded monthly. Each applicant must meet all scholarship requirements two weeks prior to the program’s start date. Scholarships can only be used at Pacific College. Scholarships will be awarded by the president of the college after they have been recommended by the scholarship selection committee.
